Mr. Nissan Ballard is a native of new orleans, a graduate of southern university, and brings seventeen years of experience to the barber indusrty. Mr ballard expertise lies in barber styling, traditional straight razor shaves, and salon management. Nissan decided to provide a diverse male salon experience not available in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Mr. Ballard's vision was provided from his inability to find such an environment that led to his realization that male clients desire a proffesional, upscale, and relaxing venue that affords them exceptional service, and pampered old fashion care all in a setting that fosters a gentlemen's feel. Nissan had the original concept for the Grooming Parlor in 2000. He identified the need for such service as he searched for himself seeking an old-fashion hot lather shave, and talking to his peers and clients. After years of collecting information on the need for such a service, he opened The Grooming Parlor in september 2006. The Parlor has been an ongoing success and has become the grooming and lifestyle destination for the distinguished gentlemen of Baton Rouge.
